Tom Miller, Owner and President
Tom Miller was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, where he graduated from Wahlert High School and Lorus College. Tom then graduated from Harvard Law School, volunteered for Vista, and worked on then Congressman John Culver’s staff in the United State House of Representatives. As the longest serving Attorney General in the history of the United States of America, Tom served the great state of Iowa for 40 years as their Attorney General. As Attorney General Tom stood up for the average Iowan and made sure their voices were heard.
Matthew C. Miller, Vice President
Matt Miller was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, where he attended Roosevelt High School. Matt then attended Iowa State University before graduating from the University of Washington. After college, Matt ran Attorney General Tom Miller’s re-election campaign in 2006 and then worked as a paralegal in Des Moines and in Washington DC with the law firm Williams and Connelly. After receiving his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago Law School, Matt clerked for Judge Neil Hartigan on the Illinois Court of Claims and worked for the Illinois Attorney General’s office on the Court of Claims unit.
Kevin McCarthy is the former First Assistant Attorney General at the Iowa Department of Justice. Among other duties, he had oversight responsibility for the office’s Consumer Protection Division, Crime Victim Assistance Division and the Prosecuting Attorneys Training Coordinator’s Office. Prior to returning to the Attorney General’s Office in 2013, Kevin served for eleven years in the Iowa House of Representatives. He served as majority leader from 2006-2010 and minority leader from 2010-2013. During his years of legislative service, Kevin also practiced law, first as a criminal prosecutor for the Polk County Attorney’s Office and then in private law practice. Prior to serving in the legislature, Kevin worked in Washington D.C. as the Litigation & Compliance Counsel for the Tobacco Project, at the National Association of Attorneys General.

Scott Wegner, Chief Operating Officer
Scott Wegner was born and raised in Des Moines. He graduated from Roosevelt High School before attending college and earning his B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus in Saint Peter, Minnesota. After college Scott spent several years living in Utah working as a professional ski patroller. He spent his off seasons working in hospitality and worked in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. He moved back to Des Moines in 2011 and before joining MMC, worked in management and operations in the hospitality industry.
